Why this site exists
Ibiza is one of the most famous islands on Earth — and one of the worst-documented for outdoor travel. The campsites are few and lovely but nearly invisible online; the campervan rules are the strictest in Spain and routinely mis-explained; and the calm, pine-and-cove Ibiza that campers are actually looking for gets buried under club listings.
IbizaCamping exists to fix that: a complete, verified directory of the island's legal outdoor stays, the rules in plain English with sources and dates, and planning tools that treat your trip like a trip — not a list of articles.
How we research
- Every stay is verified against the operator's own website and cross-checked with booking platforms, directories and local press. Each profile carries a "last verified" date (2026-08-16 at launch).
- Rule-sensitive content cites its sources — the island law (Ley 5/2024), municipal ordinances, and the local newspapers that report enforcement. We re-check these pages regularly; rules on Ibiza move.
- Prices appear as bands with season notes, never as stale exact figures. What a pitch costs in May is not what it costs in August, and we'd rather link you to the operator than guess.
- If we can't verify it, we don't publish it. A short honest directory beats a padded one.
How the site is funded
Some outbound links — booking partners, campsites, campervan hire operators, ferry booking sites — are affiliate links. They never change what we write or how we rank stays: the directory includes every licensed stay regardless of whether it has an affiliate programme, and we say no to "sponsored" placements. The site is also free of trackers: no analytics, no cookie banners, no ad pixels. Your saved trip lives only in your browser.
Travel that fits the island
Ibiza is small, dry and loved half to death in August. Everything we publish is built around the same few rules we ask you to follow: sleep where it's legal, keep to the paths in the protected dunes, take your rubbish home, use the buses where they work, and leave the coves better than you found them. It's not preachiness — it's the only version of this island that survives.
