The markets

Shopping under the pines

The hippy markets are Ibiza's living link to the 1960s — still run by the families who started them, still worth the detour. Schedules verified August 2026; they shift slightly from year to year.

Las Dalias Hippy Market

🧺

San Carlos (Sant Carles de Peralta)

When
Saturdays, 10:00 – late afternoon (until 20:00 Jun–Sep); Sundays 11:00 in spring & autumn
Season
February – November

The island’s most famous market: 300+ stalls of fashion, jewellery, crafts and art, plus food and live music in a garden full of bougainvillea.

Tip: Summer night market runs Sunday, Monday & Tuesday evenings (Jun–Sep). Go early or by bus — parking is tight.

Hippy Market Punta Arabí

🧺

Es Canar

When
Wednesdays, 10:00 – 18:00
Season
April – October

The oldest hippy market on the island (est. 1973) — hundreds of stalls under the pines in the Punta Arabí grounds, next door to Camping La Playa.

Tip: Free entry. If you are staying at Camping La Playa or Cala Nova you can walk. Parking in Es Canar is chaos on Wednesdays — bus or walk.

Sant Jordi Market

🧺

Sant Jordi de ses Salines

When
Saturdays, morning to early afternoon
Season
Year-round

A locals’ favourite: second-hand treasure, ceramics, plants and honest village atmosphere next to the church square.

Tip: The island’s original Saturday market, minutes from the airport road. Park on the edge of the village.

Sant Joan Market

🧺

Sant Joan de Labritja

When
Sundays, morning
Season
Year-round

A slow, village-scale market in the north: local produce, crafts and craftspeople who actually made the things they sell.

Tip: Combine with a Sunday in the north — Portinatx lighthouse, Benirràs sunset, dinner in Sant Joan.

Market days on the map

Las Dalias (San Carlos) on Saturdays, Punta Arabí (Es Canar) on Wednesdays — both within easy reach of the east-coast campsites. On market days, park once and walk; the bus is the locals' trick.
