Camping Cala Bassa

What it's like

Camping Cala Bassa is the old-school original — opened in 1958 and still the island’s biggest campsite, with around 500 pitches spread through the pines 250 m behind Cala Bassa beach. It is a peaceful, shaded base on the sunset side of the island: Cala Bassa’s turquoise water in the morning, Cala Comte and Cala d’Hort for sunset, and coastal walks under the pines in between. The site has a restaurant, supermarket, playground, barbecue areas, Wi-Fi and the island’s best facilities for motorhomes, including a service point for water and waste. Cala Bassa is also reachable by bus (L7 from Sant Antoni), which is rare for a west-coast beach. Open from 1 April to 30 September — the longest season of any Ibiza campsite.
